It's not easier, our shops are made to be compact as possible, making an adjustment is going to be very hard. We made this entirely in the game but due to bukkit it can be griefed, so I don't see it unreasonable to ask for a zone or something similar. There are a ton of options and I plan on talking to ryan about a possible solution, if there's any.

That's what I meant, "I say get it worked out through in-game means rather than use a plugin just because it's easier." Meaning, figure out a way of protecting it from grief rather than using a plugin just because it's easier [to use a plugin].

Talk to ryan all you like, I'm not the owner and I don't make the rules, I'm simply expressing my opinion that I don't think a special zone is necessary or in the best interests of the server in terms of setting a precedent.

Couldn't this be treated under the clause that protects traders from being scammed? Or at the very least under the redstone clause? I've seen that enacted when people cheat one another on a normal physical trade, and this isn't all that different. Especially with the redstone rule enacted, I would hope that these measures protect the functionality of autotraders (which are a HUGE improvement to traditional machines).

There's no doubting it's against the rules but that doesn't stop random players from beating the plugin to grief and it's a pain to fix each time, costing diamonds and time.

Wouldnt a chest on top of the hopper (with the hopper filtered to only accept diamonds) be the simplest solution? Chest would need to be "/allow all" but it would allow you hide the hopper.

Alright well that's stupid...

How about little water conveyer belts that flow over the hopper? That would allow you to shield direct access to the hopper from people without having to change anything on the machines themselves. Only thing you have to change is making the rounds a little bigger to fit in a three or four block long stream of water.

Just tossing out easy-to-do ideas in case you can't fit your solution in.

How about a hopper feeding THE hopper?
It will require you to move the current hopper down one block, and probably alot of redstone behind it, but then it would just be an empty hopper taking the diamonds to the current hopper wich is on the surface now.

Because you either leave the top hopper empty and it gets filled with junk by some noob or you filter it so it only accepts diamonds and you're right back at the same problem of kids emptying it.

The thing is Swa, it needs to remove none diamonds otherwise it'll clog up.

I think i've found a solution, I will share with MLK and hopefully be open again by tonight.
